Job Title:                             Validation Engineer III

Summary:

This role exists to research, design and build mechanical & electromechanical test systems utilized to validate the performance of MTI Products and Systems and confirm product performance to appropriate safety and regulatory standards.  Utilizing their experience with experiment design and execution and their knowledge of regulatory requirements, the Validation Engineer will conduct and coordinate Design Characterization & Validation, regulatory conformance and ongoing Long Term Reliability tests on MTI products. In addition, the Validation Engineer provides input into the design process to ensure that MTI products are designed for long term reliability in the retail environment and adherence to industry standards for safety, emissions, and performance.

GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

The Product manager will join the ArmorActive product team which is responsible for managing the Product life cycle from definition through End of Life.  He or she will work closely with Sales to identify new products which will grow revenue of the ArmorActive business segment, and develop the product requirements, use case and business case which clearly communicate the product and opportunity to management.    This person will also partner closely with Engineering during the development process to provide input and guidance to priority of features, ensure voice of the customer is incorporated into product design and provide input on features & implementation, tradeoffs between schedule/ scope / cost, usage model, etc.  He or she will also develop and train internal and external teams, as well as partner with the Marketing team to ensure that product brochures and website information are up to date and effectively position and promote the ArmorActive products.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage products through ArmorActive’s product life cycle including definition, launch, ongoing support and EOL.
  • Detailed documentation of Product Requirements and product use cases which succinctly capture needed product features.
  • Develop thorough understanding of tablet use and needs in retail, restaurant, health care, and corporate environments through customers visits, competitor research and market research.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and programs for peers, sales staff, partners and customers.
  • Communicate and message all product related information to sales and customers (features, MSRP, quality related issues, EOL).

Scheduling Coordinator

The Scheduling Coordinator’s role exists as a key contributor within MTI Global Services to ensure operating efficiencies. This position provides high-touch, personalized scheduling support to both internal and external partners and continually strives to exceed customer expectations regarding response time, product knowledge, effective problem resolution, stellar service and overall MTI operational knowledge. The Scheduling Coordinator’s drives the customer experience within MTI’s Customer Care Call Center to ensure that our client and customer’s needs are not only met but exceeded.

Job Overview:

  • Scheduling Coordinators (SC) will be responsible for dispatching field technicians globally into retail environments to audit, repair, train and/or install technology at varying degrees of technical difficulty.
  • The SC must be able to schedule field activity in the most profitable and efficient manner, meeting all SLAs (Service Level Agreements) while working closely with field technicians and field management. This includes analyzing maps and optimizing routes for technicians.
  • SC will be handed information and must be able to make decisions to action them appropriately with minimal guidance. The SC must be able to learn new systems, tools and processes quickly and be flexible as processes and procedures evolve, to meet changing and growing demands.
  • Build relationships with the field technicians, and field management to achieve common goals

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answers incoming/outgoing telephone calls and emails in a call center environment
  • Evaluate Field Technician locations and determine optimal technician and timing to complete field work Provides effective support to Field Technicians throughout the world
  • Combine field work needs from multiple sources and dispatch technician in most cost effective manner
  • Data gathering and auditing to help determine where staff is low in numbers. Communicate to Field Management where hiring needs to take place.
  • Communicating with Customer Service, Sales, and Field Teams
  • This individual may also be assigned additional special tasks at the discretion of the Service Supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous customer service experience required, preferably in a high volume call center environment
  • Shows a passion for and is consistent in servicing internal and external customers
  • Thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
  • Capable of learning MTI’s products, processes and organization
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task a must
  • Ability to interact and interface effectively with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Previous experience in a factory, distribution or retail environment a plus
  • Experience in the electronics industry strongly preferred
