About the Job:

Mobile Technologies, Inc. (MTI) is currently seeking candidates to become Certified Field Technicians. We are adding technicians in your market to ensure all field assignments are being fulfilled on-time. This position is remote and your direct manager will be remote. The primary focus for this role will be performing field-based assignments, in addition, you will also be completing home-based trainings and conference calls, scheduling offered assignments, and communicating directly with the District Field Manager through availability, phone calls, text messages, and e-mails to ensure market coverage needs are met during our high-rate of growth. Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure our clients’ success
  • Schedule all assignments within 24 hours of being offered
  • Perform visit on date that assignment is scheduled
  • Complete all assignments within the timeframe offered

This position is at the forefront of MTI Global Services’ Sales and Marketing efforts to increase client sales at the retail store level.  The candidate should have diverse skills that include a focus on detail, relationship building and the ability to communicate effectively with key personnel (retail store sales associates, general managers, sales managers) and consumers.  Depending on the size of each market place, this position could necessitate either part-time or full-time services, each with bi-monthly store visits combined with periodic project based selling day and special events.

  • Primary duty is to create consumer awareness, product brand preference, and product mind share for hardware and software companies at the retail store level.

The Senior NPI buyer will act as the key coordinator for material purchasing for non-production released products.  This position will regularly interact with Engineering, Program Management, Product Management and the Operations team to coordinate a high quality, timely and cost effective release of new products to the general market.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Through collaborating with engineering, build and maintain pre-release production BOMs in AX.
  • Coordinate with document control and engineering the revision control of all pre-release BOMs. Communicate to all stakeholders the impact of any changes.
  • Point of contact for all new vendors/distributors whose products and services are required for the release of a new product.
  • Negotiate costs, manage quality, and outline and inspect delivery and workmanship expectations for any new vendors utilized in the NPI process.
  • Provide production costing (estimates and firm quotes) at both prototype and production levels.
  • Coordinate the activities of peers – Buyers/Planners whose support is required to deliver on a new product introduction.
  • Build and drive NPI production plans to ensure the production expectations of product management are fulfilled.
  • Collaborate with Program Management to ensure all action items, deliverables and tasks are completed on time and in a quality manner to support the NPI plan.
  • Work with Supply Chain Managers to build product supply chain and value stream maps to facilitate make vs buy and supply chain design decisions.

MTI is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Hillsboro, OR office.  This position will fill a key role in a small, efficient engineering group tasked with implementing, optimizing, and maintaining MTI’s line of retail security and mobile device solutions.  Tasks include requirements gathering, circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, firmware development, and BOM and change notice manipulation and management.  Candidates applying for this position need to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, high product mix environment.

Summary:

This role plans, manages and schedules resources to validate the performance of MTI Products and Systems and confirm product performance to appropriate safety and regulatory standards.  Utilizing their experience with reliability testing, managing technical teams and their knowledge of regulatory requirements, the R&C Engineering Manager will assure the team plans and conducts Design Characterization & Validation, regulatory conformance and ongoing Long Term Reliability tests on MTI products. In addition, the R&C Engineering Manager provides input into the development schedules for new products to account for planned testing and potential risks to ensure that MTI products are designed for long term reliability in the retail environment and adherence to industry standards for safety, emissions, and performance.

Essential Duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Manage the team that researches and applies learning’s about the Retail Environment, industry standards, and regulatory standards to develop and execute a suite of tests that confirm compliance and replicates the user environment in MTI’s own test labs
  • Communicate with development teams and management to escalate or resolve problems & develop design changes emerging from testing
  • Compile & analyze key metrics for the operational, test, & research data to establish performance standards for the team
  • Plan & deploy resources worldwide and manage the team for common performance results and consistency
  • Review and analyze test data & reports to determine if products meet  regulatory & safety specifications
  • Supervise and manage the team for optimal performance, setting goals and conducting performance reviews for the members of the team worldwide
  • Occasional Travel (Domestic and International) 15%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required
  • 10 + years’ experience in the testing of electromechanical products
  • 10 + years’ experience in regulatory and emissions in supporting worldwide deployment of product (IEC, UL, TUV, FCC and others)
  • Proficient in MS Office programs required
  • Proficient knowledge of standard engineering principles, theories and concepts of electromechanical design
  • Thorough knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), statistics and test methodologies required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands: Ability to lift items weighing 50-75 lbs or assist in lifting larger assemblies.  Must have good physical dexterity & reach in arms & hands.

Work Environment: Occasional exposure/use of toxic or caustic chemicals.  Risk of electrical shock.  Exposure to tools & assemblies that contain moving or heated parts, moderate noise levels.

Job Summary

The MTI Business Development Executive (BDE) is an outside sales role responsible for both a geographic market as well as for an assigned prospect list.  The BDE will be responsible and accountable for driving sales of net new logo business with a focus on prospecting, lead generation and channel partner development.  The BDE will represent all of MTI’s products and services to prospective clients.  The prospects will include medium to large companies across all industry segments. The BDE will be responsible for prospecting into his/her defined territory/account list, qualifying opportunities, designing solutions to help solve business problems, pricing, negotiating and closing business.  Lastly, the BDE will be responsible for providing input to the business regarding prospects’ needs and market/competitive trends.

PURPOSE

Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, and supplies throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.

  • Unpack and verify goods received against purchase orders, RMA’s, or invoices of received goods and communicate any non-conformances
  • Prepare and maintain records of cycle counting, receiving, RMA’s, and shipments
  • Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing floor
  • Perform daily cycle counts and variance reconciliation
  • Picking, kitting and delivery of inventory items from work order pick lists for assembly teams
  • Stock newly received materials and parts into inventory locations per FIFO rules
  • Generate Picklists, Pack lists, Commercial Invoices for shipments
  • Physically pick, pack, and label items for shipment with high degree of accuracy
  • Other duties or projects as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Minimum of 3 (II) or 5 (III) years’ experience as a material handler, shipping clerk or similar role
  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience and with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP is required
  • Must have effective communications skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to efficiently and accurately perform data entry
  • Strong international shipping knowledge and background preferred
  • Must be flexible and be able to adapt to changing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Must perform basic math and record keeping on a daily basis
  • Must be able to be forklift certified and be able to operate safely
  • Must be able to read and follow operational and safety procedures

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift 20-35 lbs regularly and 40+ lbs. on occasion
  • Some overtime may be requested
  • Duties routinely require standing, walking, pushing carts and pallet jacks
  • This position resides in a warehouse and manufacturing setting with fluctuating temperatures due to the loading and unloading of freight
